‘It’s important to me that I’m connected to (and accredited by) the most respected body in coaching worldwide. I have clients from all over the world and I believe it means something to them too. In addition, professionalising the profession is something all coaches should be committed to and this is one way of enacting that.’

SUSTAINING MOMENTUM OVER TIME:
Designing actions, Planning and Goal Setting, Managing Progress and Accountability
- maybe not the favourite but very important

This is a teleseminar with Jeff Staggs, MCC
Wednesday 7th November 2007 at 8pm

This session will focus on the ICF Core Competencies of Designing Actions, Planning & Goal Setting, and Managing Progress and Accountability. The thread they all have in common is that they are concerned with sustaining momentum over time. Just how do you work with clients to create a clear intention and move them into action? We have a tendency to think the real work in coaching takes place during the session, however, the coaching session is just the punctuation mark in our client’s lives. Now the punctuation we use makes a huge difference to how a story reads, but the real work our clients do takes place between sessions. It is therefore critical to master the art of helping your clients maintain momentum over time. That is exactly what these three competencies are all about!

During our call we will explore these competencies and how they can leverage momentum and success for our clients over time. We will create a clear distinction for each of the skills and how to develop the competency for yourself and how to apply them in your own coaching. Through discussion, and experiential application you will develop a new perspective on these core competencies.
