ACC ACTP Application Timeline – “Providing timelines for the portfolio process remains problematic due to the variability in the availability of volunteer assessors and the variety of languages we are attempting to serve (although language is not an issue for English speaking applicants). Rather than quote a timeline to portfolio applicants, for the past several months we have been sending a status notice to all applicants providing them an update every three weeks. The status updates communicate the current position of their application in the process, and for those that are ready for the oral exam it also gives them a number designating their place in the queue. The feedback from this has been very positive and seems to work much better at managing expectations than when we were trying to give specifics on days, weeks, months that were often wrong.” |
