The relationship with the client is the foundation for all of your work with clients. The duel competencies of ‘Establishing Trust & Intimacy with the Client' &‘Coaching Presence’ are intimately linked and yet very distinct aspects of co-creating the relationship with your client. It is essential to master these competencies since everything we do in coaching relies on the relationship we have built with the client.
In this interactive session we will explore these two competencies in depth. We will look at both the ‘being’ and the ‘doing’ of each and how to apply them in your practice with clients. We will also look at how these competencies are not just one time events but a dance of co-creation that is shaped and evolves over time.
You will leave with clear distinctions for each of these competencies as well as how they compliment each other. There will be plenty of time for interaction so please bring your questions and examples from your own practice. Some questions to consider as you prepare for the session might be, 'What creates trust and intimacy for you and what takes away from it when you work with a coach?' and 'What is the distinction between coaching presence and say consulting presence or the presence of a friend?'
