‘It’s important to me that I’m connected to (and accredited by) the most respected body in coaching worldwide. I have clients from all over the world and I believe it means something to them too. In addition, professionalising the profession is something all coaches should be committed to and this is one way of enacting that.’

ESTABLISHING TRUST AND INTIMACY
- Getting to the Source

This is a teleseries
with Ellen Fredricks, MCC
on Monday 3rd March 2008 at 8pm UK time

As a coach, your ability to create a safe and supportive environment for your client is essential to the success of the coaching relationship. When a client puts their total trust in you as their coach and feels comfortable and safe to say anything, you are on your way to a successful coaching partnership. To create mutually intimate conversations that create the most value for the client and bring out their wisdom, the coach must also feel safe and supported yet open to exhibit vulnerability and a willingness to venture into the unknown moment by moment. This creates the possibility of getting to the source of what’s most important in each and every client conversation

In this session you will explore how to gain greater mastery in this important ICF core competency:
  • going deeper in the coaching conversations with your clients

  • shifting the focus away from your performance as the coach

  • championing your client to greater risk taking

  • getting more comfortable with the unknown and following the natural flow of the client conversation

  • understanding the nuances at the ACC, PCC and MCC levels.
