‘It’s important to me that I’m connected to (and accredited by) the most respected body in coaching worldwide. I have clients from all over the world and I believe it means something to them too. In addition, professionalising the profession is something all coaches should be committed to and this is one way of enacting that.’

DIRECT COMMUNICATION
-The story of the rose and the thorn

This is a teleseminar with Elizabeth Ferguson, MCC
on Tuesday 24th July 2007 at 8pm UK time

Direct communication is often the least understood competency of the 11 and, sometimes the one used with least subtlety. All of the competencies have their own particular role or ‘job’ in coaching conversations – and direct communication has one of the biggest jobs of all.

So come to this call and discover how to make it your friend and potentially the most powerful, fragrant rose in your bouquet.

Together we shall explore its light side and we shall also delve into the darker, thornier side of this amazing competency. Come ready to coach, be coached (so have nugget sized issues ready) and contribute to the conversation.

Elizabeth Ferguson, MCC
Elizabeth was the first European to be awarded the ICF's Professional Certified Coach designation, and became a Master Certified Coach (at the time one of only 3 in Europe) 18 months later. She has undertaken over 400 hours of coach specific training, including a post graduate diploma in Ontological Coaching, and has delivered 4000 hours of coaching. A past president of the ICF in the UK, Elizabeth's passion around standards in the coaching profession has led her to be Chair of the ICF International Credentialing Committee which is responsible for setting the standards for coaching around the world. She is also a trained assessor for the professional exam panel. Elizabeth and her team have trained and mentored over 1000 coaches world-wide and she is a recognised leader in her field.
