What our UK members say:

'Professional standards are vital to the standing and credibility of Coaching as an emerging profession. The ICF is the only independent professional body with a track record of accrediting coaches to these rigorous standards and at a variety of levels. So I am proud to be designated a Master Coach by the ICF and consider it my responsibility to myself and my clients ( national and international, corporate and personal) to ensure that I continue to operate at that level......luckily the ICF makes sure I do that!'

TIME TO THINK:
The Power of Silence in Coaching

This is a Mastery in Coaching teleseminar
with Nancy Kline
on Tuesday 10th April 2007 at 8pm UK time

Just imagine what it would be like to coach in a thinking environment and to be coached in that environment too. What would your clients discover in the silence?

What this Mastery in Coaching tele-seminar will unfold before you is the effect that the Ten Components of a Thinking Environment® have on human thinking and the vital role each plays in the process of helping clients to find their own answers.

By the end of the session you will have grasped the meaning of, and principles behind, each of the Ten Components, and the effect of their use as a system by the Coach. You will also experience the construction of an Incisive Question and will understand the crucial importance of using the Client’s own words. Nancy will create a context in which you will understand the difference between the use of the expression ‘Limiting Assumptions’ and’ Limiting Beliefs’ at a deeper level. You also will have a greater appreciation of the effect of uninterrupted, non-interventionist Attention, and the particular knowledge and discipline it takes to produce that as Coach.

Nancy will cover most directly the ICF Core competencies contained within Co-creating the Relationship and Communicating Effectively. She also is interested to explore how a Coach can create a Thinking Environment whilst faciltating learning and results without slipping into a ‘sorting it out for the client’ role.

What is the power of your silence and how will that enable you to coach in a thinking environment? Join Nancy on Tuesday 10th April and discover.

Nancy Kline

Nancy Kline is President of Time To Think, an international leadership development and coaching company. She is also a published author and public speaker.

Nancy created and pioneered the development of the theory and process called The Thinking Environment®. This model allows people to turn their teams, organisations and relationships into Thinking Environments in which people at every level can think for themselves, with rigour, imagination and courage. The process increases the quality of thinking in, and thus of concrete results from, all human interactions, both in pairs and in groups, and decreases the amount of time it takes to achieve them.

Nancy and the other Time To Think Consultants and Coaches do Thinking Environment work in companies, universities, human resource organisations, government agencies and voluntary organisations. Thinking Environment work is active in the UK, Ireland, the United States, and South Africa.

Time To Think began in 1984 and grew out of Nancy’s consulting and teaching work near Washington, DC, where she had served as a Founding Director of The Thornton Friends School for twelve years and as Director of The Leadership Institute for six years.

This Teleseminar will give you 1 CCEU hour.
