What our UK members say:

'Professional standards are vital to the standing and credibility of Coaching as an emerging profession. The ICF is the only independent professional body with a track record of accrediting coaches to these rigorous standards and at a variety of levels. So I am proud to be designated a Master Coach by the ICF and consider it my responsibility to myself and my clients ( national and international, corporate and personal) to ensure that I continue to operate at that level......luckily the ICF makes sure I do that!'

Symbolic Journey to Coaching Mastery
From unconscious innocence to self-awareness, insight, and transformation

This is a tele-discussion
with Daničle Darmouni, MCC
on Wednesday 11th June 2008 at 1pm UK time

This is a journey about hope. It travels through the labyrinth of masterful coaching, curling and rippling out toward the promise of light. It is an affirmation of the power and courage of shared vision, purpose, and inquiry. Through a shared mission, we can work together to find viable answers to the riddles of chaos and complexity troubling coaches, clients, and community members everywhere. Above all, it is a reminder that in the collective wisdom of myth and legend, we can find the inspiration for a heroic journey that is the destiny of all individuals and groups working today to transform organisations into authentic learning organisations.

Our journeys in coaching began in a condition of ‘untested innocence and naive unconsciousness’. Our naiveté is shattered when we become aware of the complexity of change in the work place. It also continues to be challenged when we are confronted by the myriad problems that must be solved if the coaching new profession is to be fully recognized in a changing world.

To take the journey towards MCC is to expose us to risk and opportunity. It is a vehicle for helping clients discover the best in themselves, in others, and in the world they inhabit. The challenge is to regain a sense of shared purpose and to recognise, all over again, the power of the learning process in transforming lives.
