ICF: Supporting and Advancing the Coaching Profession.
The ICF global organisation was formed in 1995, and has become the leading global coaching organisation, with over 20,000 members worldwide.
It is dedicated to advancing the coaching profession by setting high ethical standards, providing independent certification and building a worldwide network of professional credentialed coaches.
The UK Chapter was the first ICF Chapter to be established by members outside of North America and we remain the largest and most active and influential Chapter.
It came to life in early 2000 as a result of conversations held between three ICF members from the UK: Elizabeth Ferguson, Aboodi Shabi and Phillippa Fitzpatrick.
The first UK ICF Board was a group of volunteers who passionately believed in the professionalisation of coaching – something we still pride ourselves on today.
All our UK ICF Board members are professional coaches and work on the board as volunteers. Please feel free to contact us if we can support you in any way.
